The structure of molecular clouds from pc to AU scale

Abstract

We present results from powerful new method to study the structure of

dense molecular clouds on an unprecedent column density range of 0.5

<AV <50 magnitudes (1021 <N <

1023 cm-2). The application of the method to

Barnard 68 leads to the discovery of the best example in nature of a

Bonnor-Ebert sphere.
